The ICSAE 2016 in Newcastle is an international event organized by motivated students who have passion towards Applied Engineering and dedicated to research students enthusiastic about the field. The event provides a platform for research students to present their work and exchange views with like-minded students from all around the world. It is an opportunity to develop skills and have some fun too!
Talks, sessions, and workshops are all geared up towards helping students to establish a post for themselves in Applied Engineering field and think about career paths after graduation. The event is an ideal environment for research students to test their presentation abilities, practice their poster designing skills, and most important is to learn how to communicate their ideas.

The conference will be held in the Great North Museum, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. The agenda for this event comprises career planning and professional development sessions, technical and research presentations, keynote speeches, industrial workshops, workshops on various skills development such as writing grant proposal, presentation skills, and more. A detailed programme will be announced in due course.

Who can attend?

If you are a student in Applied Engineering field, then this conference is designed for you!
Research students (PhD, MRes, EngD) in the field of Applied Engineering are invited to submit their abstracts. Successful submissions will be invited to present their work either orally or in terms of research posters.
MSc and MEng Students are welcomed to submit abstracts as well. Successful submissions will be invited to present their work in terms of research posters only.
The event welcomes final year undergraduate students (BSc, BEng) considering doing a research degree. This provides opportunity to network with research students and gives an insight about what research involves.
Delegates are not charged a registration fee to attend the conference therefore; this event is only possible through the generous support of companies, societies and institutions.
